Hello. I have a question and i hope someone can help!!!!! I have a BlkJk2. I have installed Omapclock & Omapclock Plus. I can safely and consistantly set @276Mh. My ? is, is there a software that will tell me what my processor speed is? I guess, i just don't want to take Omap's word for it. Sometimes it just doesn't seem any faster than if i didn't have Omap. Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thank you

The speed is what OMAP reports. It won't seem any faster because it isn't much faster. You're only adding a small amount of speed. I recommend only using those programs if you're running a program specifically needs the extra speed and won't work without it. If you don't need it for that purpose, there's really no other purpose to have them.

The only other use of those applications is to UNDERclock your device to save battery power. But any form of over/underclocking is always risk at device stability and could cause permanent damage.

Thank You for the information. i guess i was expecting a WOW factor. Maybe, samsung could come up with a BlkJk3 with a 400Mhz processor. Ha! Ha!

I find that 250mhz is pretty good actually. It's not too slow, and it allows for a device with this form factor (pretty slim) to have decent battery life. 400mhz just kills the battery, unless it were to have a huge battery, but that would make the device huge too.

As for getting the "WOW factor", some guys took their Dell Axims (which are already clocked at 624mhz) and overclocked them to over 1ghz. They also took off the housing and added a heatsink to ensure it didn't overheat. Now that's where you get the WOW! :D
