Guest benzo Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Recently I've had to restart the kaiser to get it to recognise that a headset is plugged in. If I don't do this, it just plays music or whatever noise through the phone speakers. It's very irritating. I've tried different headsets and the same issue pops up each time. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks. Benzo
Guest Billy Marrafyass Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 I have a similar problem: i recently bought an fm transmitter that lets you play music from the kaiser to the fm channels on my car stereo. it came with a useful 3mm to mini-usb adapter. It worked on friday night but stopped working on saturday. Ialso tested the adapter to plug into a cassette adapter i've got, which again worked on friday, but not since. I've also plugged the adapter into a set of ipod headphones and still no joy. It's either a fault with the adapter or a problem with the phone. I have had audio problems with htc phones in the past - my M600 repeatedly developed a similar fault and i read on the forum for that device that the fault was something to do with the 2mm socket - not sure if it's a smilar problem with the mini usb?
Guest Billy Marrafyass Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 ok, I just pulled out my htc headphones from the box - they're unused. they don't work either which suggests that it's a fault with the phone and not the adapter. unless anyone else knows of a software fix before I send it to htc for repair...?

I don't know if I can be bothered to send mine for repair. I'll just stick with the restart device method. A pain in the back side I know, but I can't do without the other Kaiser features. I wish HTC put time and effort in making their ppc phones
