Guest sfleuriet Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Is there a way to cancel a text message from sending? During that 2-5 seconds before it pops up as sent, I'm wondering if I could quickly cancel it. I find myself sometimes accidentally hitting send before I want to!

If you can get to your outbox and delete it before it comes up, you might be able to cancel it, but that's in Messaging - Menu - SMS - Folders - Outbox - Menu - Delete. You might just be better pulling out the battery before it sends, then remove your sim card when you turn it back on and remove the message from your outbox. But it's kinda a lot of work to prevent <160 characters from being sent......
Guest sfleuriet Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 I actually tried going to the Outbox before it sent. I got there, hit delete, yes, and it still popped up Message Sent. Maybe I just wasn't quick enough. Yeah I know it's not a big deal, just wondering.
Guest thelostsoul Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 I think your best option is to pop off the back cover before you start typing a message, and if you accidentally hit send, rip out the battery asap! heh.... With the sms, I think it just sends those tiny messages too quickly to stop it in transmission.
Guest sfleuriet Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Haha... I'll just try the Outbox thing again. If that doesnt work, oh well.
Guest Mysterious Caveman Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 i think your best bet it to clear the "to" part of the sms, write your message, and then address it. that way, if you accidently click send, it won't be sent to anywhere and will rather prompt you to address the sms.
