I've been backing up from the system screen... (using Backup All) ... i've backed up to a 128MB SD Card... the thing is now I can't really use the card.. is there anyway of saving the contents of the backup onto your PC>... so that when it is needed it can be put back on the card and the system restored...

I can't seem to view anythig in the SDCard with ActiveSync either ;)

Any ideas guys?

try dragging the whole storage card folder onto your PC, although I doubt that this will help.

The data is stored on the SD card in a custom format that ActiveSync (or your PC) can't read/mount as a filesystem. The only way to get the data off the card is using an SD card reader and a hex editor such as WinHex, which will then dump the contents of the SD card to a file on your PC and allow you to copy it back to the card again when you need it. Try a search for more information.
