Guest dodgybob Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 I've been backing up from the system screen... (using Backup All) ... i've backed up to a 128MB SD Card... the thing is now I can't really use the card.. is there anyway of saving the contents of the backup onto your PC>... so that when it is needed it can be put back on the card and the system restored... I can't seem to view anythig in the SDCard with ActiveSync either ;) Any ideas guys?
Guest yatpeak Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 try dragging the whole storage card folder onto your PC, although I doubt that this will help. Wyatt
Guest dodgybob Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 naah.. that don't work... seems to just create an empty folder called "Storage Card" !!! I heard DJHope mention it somewhere... but don't remember where... anyone?
Guest HelloDave Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 The data is stored on the SD card in a custom format that ActiveSync (or your PC) can't read/mount as a filesystem. The only way to get the data off the card is using an SD card reader and a hex editor such as WinHex, which will then dump the contents of the SD card to a file on your PC and allow you to copy it back to the card again when you need it. Try a search for more information.
