Guest oldg1t Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 I have seperate mailboxes for my ISP mail & yahoo mail (send and recieve) and of course the default outlook mailbox which doesnothing except give me an extra click on my message button when I step through to the mailbox I want. I presume its ok to delete the default outlook mailbox if I could only find out how. Any ideas Thanks Reg
Guest hotphil Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 In the account manager, tap and hold the default mail account - a Delete popup should appear.
Guest oldg1t Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 In the account manager, tap and hold the default mail account - a Delete popup should appear. The delete option is 'greyed out' for the default mailbox (which is empty !!) . ironically It isnt for my other mailboxes which are not empty.
Guest hotphil Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Bummer. What about inputting some credentials for it? Then deleting it.
Guest nevawlkalone Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 doesnt work...its because its the default outlook account that is set into the messaging app just as the sms inbox is etc

Guest mandt Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Word of warning: There is a reg tweak on the web that will let you delete the Outlook account, however DO NOT do it! It screws up all your notifications and the only way to recover is to hard-reset :D I found out the hard way...

Guest hotphil Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Are we on about the "E-mail sample account"? I've just deleted mine - selected Menu>Delete when it was highlighted in the "Messaging\Select An Account" screen...
