Guest eman006 Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Just wondering if anyone knows a good source to get custom home screens. The ones included on the BJII are nice, but it seems that nonoe of the layouts fit all of my needs / wants. The Cardwheel screen looks nice: Does anyone know where to get this and if it works on the BJII? Thanks in advance.

The Cardwheel screen looks nice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w684hLnSc5U...feature=related Does anyone know where to get this and if it works on the BJII? Thanks in advance. Based on the underwhelming response, I guess CardWheel was of no interest to anyone. Oh well. However, I did manage to create a modified Windows Default Display .xml for the Home Screen for those who like the Windows Default layout, but don't like the big "recently used programs" icons that take too much space. I've made the following changes to the Windows Default .xml file: Recently Used Programs Icons are now smaller and you can see the maximum ten last used programs Time and Date display is smaller so it doesn't take up 25% of the real estate - but time is still easily readable at a glance Re-ordered the email accounts to show the email accounts in this order: Email account used with ActivSync (in my case, corporate email) Secondary Email account (for me, Yahoo Mail) SMS (test messages) I think that's all I really changed. Everything else I kept the same (i.e. missed calls order / size). Hope this helps someone out there. UPDATE: Sorry, it seems that I cannot upload the file. Can anyone of the admins help out here? Thanks. Edited March 17, 2008 by eman006

Thanks. Since i can't upload any files, here is the .xml code in the actual file. Name the file as an .xml file and save onto your phone in the \Applications\Home folder. In the Settings menu, it will show as "Windows Default Custom" in your buffet of Home Screen Layouts (only for English since I only changed the title for the English script). I left all the foreign languages in for those who need them. <?xml version="1.0"?> Microsoft Corporation http://www.microsoft.com/ Windows Default Custom Windows Standard Custom Predeterminado de Windows Windows par défaut Windows Predefinito Predefinição do Windows Padrão do Windows Windows Default Custom Windows standard Custom Windows-standaard Windows standard Windows - standard Windows-oletus Výchozí nastavení Windows implicit Windows - predvolené Windows по подразбиране Προεπιλογή Windows Windows alapértelmezett Domyślny - Windows Стандартный Windows Windows Varsayılanı Windows privzeto Windows podrazumevano Windows per defecte 1.0 Call in progress: Anruf in Ausführung: Llamada en curso: Appel en cours: Chiamata in corso: Chamada em curso: Chamada em andamento: Call in progress: Igangværende opkald: Actieve oproep: Samtal pågår: Anrop pågår: Soitto meneillään: Probíhá hovor: Apel în curs: Prebieha hovor: Активно повикване: Κλήση σε εξέλιξη: Folyamatban lévő hívás: Trwa Wywoływanie: Текущий вызов: Arama sürüyor: Klic poteka: Poziv u toku: Trucada en curs: Missed calls: Verpasste Anrufe: Llamadas perdidas: Appels manqués: Chiamate perse: Chamadas perdidas: Chamadas perdidas: Missed calls: Mistede opkald: Gemiste oproepen: Missade samtal: Tapte anrop: Vastaamattomat soitot: Zmeškané hovory: Apeluri pierdute: Zmeškané hovory: Неприети повиквания: Αναπάντητες κλήσεις: Nem fogadott hívások: Poł. nieodebrane: Неотвеченные вызовы: Yanıtlanmayan aramalar: Neodgovorjeni klici: Propušteni pozivi: Trucades perdudes: Profile: Profil: Perfil: Profil: Profilo: Perfil: Perfil: Profile: Profil: Profiel: Profil: Profil: Profiili: Profil: Profil: Profil: Профил: Προφίλ: Profil: Profil: Профиль: Profil: Profil: Profil: Perfil: Voicemail: Mailbox: Correo de voz: Messagerie vocale: Posta vocale: Voicemail: Correio de voz: Voicemail: Personbesked: Voicemail: Röstmeddelande: Talemelding: Puheposti: Hlasová pošta: Poştă vocală: Hlasová pošta: Гласова поща: Φωνητικό ταχυδρομείο: Hangposta: Poczta głosowa: Голосовая почта: Sesli posta: Odzivnik: Govorna pošta: Correus de veu:

Guest thelostsoul Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 As has been stated, MS *promised* an update for the Blackjack II. It is really up to Samsung and the service providers though, and whether or not it will come and when is something we'll just have to wait and see about...
