So I cancelled my contract today, ends in one month. Told them I was moving to three.

They would not transfer my number to PAYG.

They told me SIM would be wiped.

They told me phone would be locked to T-mobile.

What do they mean locked to T-mobile. I have already unlocked it.

WIll it come back to haunt me?

Thanks.

Ask for a PAC - they will give you one, give it to 3 and they will get your number from T

SIM will be wiped - you don't keep anything on it do you?

They can't re-lock the phone, they say that because lot's of people think they can just put a SIM from another provider in a phone without unlocking. If you've unlocked you will be fine.

Good luck.

Thanks for that about the unlocking.

I told t_mobile I was going to three.co.uk. They told me they would not transfer my phone number to a PAYG phone number because I ws going to three.co.uk. I guess that's different than a PAC. I am already on three on a new number so I don;t really care. I was more worried about the locking.

Thanks again.

You can still get a pac code from t mobile and 3 will transfer it to your 3 sim if you want....
