Guest Chad B. Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 I'm not savvy enough with mobile devices to help here, but hopefully someone else is and can help. To enter "test mode" and have access to "internal" settings do the following: 1.) Enter "Admin Settings" if you have a shortcut...Great! or dial *#1546792*#. 2.) The password for the Preconfiguration and the Internal is *#81230*# Maybe someone can use this to all of our advantages...There are audio settings for BT, Speakerphone, Headset, and Handset. There are many other goodies as well. If any of you dev guys aout there wanna make a how-to or wiki on this that would be great!

HAHAAAAHAA Ohhh my god I went into Preconfiguration and tried switching from USA/AT&T to Default, and it reformatted my phone instantly. Ok that is definiately the dumbest thing I've done in awhile. I guess that's why there's two passwords for it. Damn I just had my phone set up good too... Edited March 15, 2008 by jonathanbaker1

Did it reformatted itself with default settings, rather than USA/AT&T?
Guest Chad B. Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 And?? Did it reformatted itself with default settings, rather than USA/AT&T? Stays USA/AT&T...
Guest jhmartin88 Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 that password for those menus doesnt work for me?
Guest FAF_DRAKO Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 You missed it in the post; check out step 2 No I didn't miss it on the first post... the password didn't work for me that's all. :D BUT!!! I figured out later on that it was a simple typo on my part when dialing in code... it worked fine. :( Will mess around with it and report on any findings worth while... :(

I know the curioristy is killin ya. But be warned, it seems to activate some sort of failsafe protocol which instantly reformats the phone back to factory specs, AT&T... I've noticed several of these failsafe protocols, like if you try to delete certain files (like sounds) from the /Windows folder, it will replace them instantly or in a few minutes. Bizzare but helpful I suppose. QUOTE(dreaMone @ Mar 17 2008, 07:52) And?? Did it reformatted itself with default settings, rather than USA/AT&T? Stays USA/AT&T... Correct, it stays USA/AT&T... I'm guessing you tried it too? lol.

Guest Encarnation Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 The Internal menu password does not work. I checked and double checked, i can enter preconfiguration, but not Internal.
Guest florisz Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 The Internal menu password does not work. I checked and double checked, i can enter preconfiguration, but not Internal. Same here. I have a i600, but the password works for the 'preconfiguration' but it doesn't for the 'Internal'. And I'm sooo curious what's behind it.... In a spanish post I saw something like: *#2456987*#. But I can't type in the last character. I think it is too long. Florisz
