Guest Taylor Greenwood Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 I just got a BJII yesterday, and ive done a couple things such as app unlock youtube hacks etc. I have a few questions concerning some issues ive been having. 1. youtube videos are extremely laggy, to the point i have no desire to watch them. i have cpu seed set to 276. tried cpu at 288 but freezes any ideas? 2. under start menu there is a folder accesories with onetierprompt in it. did this come with the phone or something i downloaded? ive done a hard reset and it wouldnt go away. if you try to run it it sends a sms saying it doesnt have enough system permissions. cant find it in reg, probly cuz i dont know where to look 3. im constently getting msgs saying device doesnt support. ie a rar file even though i have unrar. 4. i have a mac so i only have a freeware sync version so i have been having trouble with installing flash on my phone. altough i did the youtube hack and the vids work. does this mean i have flash. i would like to listen to streeming audio, but it redirects me to flash website. maybe i dont have a new enough version. im thinking about a hard reset starting fresh, if anybody could make recomendations to app unlockr, overclocker, flash hacks etc. that would be great, keep in mind i have a mac.
Guest jonathanbaker1 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 I don't have an Accessories folder and never heard of Onetierprompt. Only advice I can give on that, is that with the Microsoft tool for Windows, the security permissions are Tier One and Tier Two. The tool I'm talking about is the Security Configuration Manager which allows Windows users to app-unlock the Blackjack2. These issues you're having are probably all related in some way. Sometimes when your phone isn't app-unlocked properly, it will allow you to install programs but they will not run right. As far as the videos being laggy, it may be a problem with your flash, or you may just need to pause them for a sec and let the buffer build up a little. With it overclocked, it should really have no problems displaying the videos smoothly so it must be something else. I haven't personally messed with youtube on mine yet. But I can play whole movies just fine. For the Mac, I think there are (free?) programs which will let you run Windows applications, then you can use the app unlocker that Windows uses. Or download them to a disk and use someones windows for a few minutes. My reccomendation for overclocker is the usual OmapClock.
Guest Taylor Greenwood Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 i do have a free sync software for mac but its limited to contacs, no apps. i have another comp with windows, so ill just go that route. so you think it all comes back to improper unlocking? which way would you recomend unlocking? and is there anyway to get omap clock without the tornando power thing? and does anybody know how to get rid of this oneteirprompt?
Guest Taylor Greenwood Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 it now freezes at 276, whats the newest version of omap?
Guest Taylor Greenwood Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 i tried letting the vid buffer, this helped a little bit but 10 sec latter it went back to being laggy. does this mean that its flash, or does it go back to improper unlock. also the omap i have came with the the pwer tornado control. i feel like this wasnt intended for th BJII considering the "superfast" is listed at 228, and does having omap at 276 contradict the tornado program? sorry for my ignorance
