i know this is a FAQ, but i cannot get it to work, and i cannot find a solution with extensive searching... sorry :D

i know someone out there has got this working, but i have failed on multiple attempts.

finally got myself a new bluetooth dongle and managed to get the drivers for vista64, and got my kaiser (tytnII on orange) paired without much drama....

but when i use activesync on the kaiser and select

supports activesync"

so i select to set one up now, it then takes me to the bluetooth connecion manager. if i select the pc already paired and tick the box for , , i get back to the activesync page, but go through the whole cycle again when i select

i cannot initiate the connection from the pc via WMDC - there does not seem to be an option for this...

please tell me someone has written an app to get this working?

i got it working! why the hell this is so difficult, i dont know.

eventually found help on xda...

for those that don't know...

1) delete all bluetooth pairings between phone and computer.

2) go into your pc bluetooth settings (varies between BT manufacturer, but try right clicking the taskbar logo and selecting properties)

3) find the com port number used for serial port (remember)

4) open windows mobile device center on your pc

5) (without having your ppc connected) hover over from the drop-down menu.

6) tick the ,allow connections to one of the following. box and select click the comport number you discovered in point 3 above.

7) attempt to repair via your pc using the software bundled with your BT (or via control panel if inbuilt)

8) during pairing the connection type options will now list instead of , tivk this box and save.

9) launch activesync on your ppc (from ) and select

the rest should eb plain sailing!

:D
