hi. Can someone tell me what the ver. 0.3 is for. I bought like the first BlkJk2 when it came out on Black Friday. My son just bought one last week and his reads H/W ver. 0.3. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. THank you

What exactly do you want to know? That is the hardware version of you handset. All of them should have that version. Not sure what you are asking here...

Sorry. Should have been more specific. On my phone, the H/W version is Blank, nothing there at all. But my son's reads 0.3. Why?

Ah...now you got yourself a problem!

Hmm... there's really nothing you can or would want to do to force it to say the version number, so here are options:

1. Hard reset the phone (after backing up everything you don't want to lose) and see if it starts showing up. If not, go for another option...

2. Return the phone to ATT / Samsung letting them know about your problem for an exchange.

3. Ignore it.

I would first examine the phone. Compare it to your sons in every aspect you can, and see if there is anything else wrong with it. If you can't find anything, option 1 is your best bet. If that turns up with nothing, then I would only say go for option 2 if you can find something else wrong with it. Otherwise you may find they won't exchange it unless you fabricate a bigger problem...

Thank you for your help. I will first try the hard reset, if no luck, i will come up with something for ATT, my only concern, is that they will replace mine with a refurb.

they wont replace with a refurb. it will be an out of the box unit that has been checked out by their service dept. mine came that way. which i prefer. i never had to app unlock it and the gps works great.

Hi. I have the new phone, and the first thing i checked was the H/D Version. It said 0.3 Then i set my phone up the way i like it and a day later i looked again, and sure enough, it was blank again. I figured out what caused it. I set my font to "large" and it disappears. When i set it back to normal, it comes back. Just an FYI

Thanks again. I got a "new" phone out of it.
