WEIRD Problem

Ok well, first of all let me say I've NEVER had signal problems where my phone is, and it's showing signal as being fine now.

That being said, a) my voicemail icon NEVER goes away, :D I miss calls when I know I was home and had my phone on...and it doesn't show any missed calls, I just check my voicemail and find out "hey i have a new voicemail"...c) Sometimes it keeps telling me "busy" whenever making a call when I know the line im calling is NOT busy.

Please help! I have no idea what's causing this. The only weird stuff I'm running is: CE-Star, TaskMgr (it's one of those cloaked GPS locator programs in case your phone gets stolen) and BirdieWatcher (thunderbird/sunbird syncing program). The only other thing I have to say is that I'm pretty sure all of this has been running without a problem before.

EDIT: I closed ALL open programs and the voicemail icon went away, but I will have to wait to see if any of the other problems are fixed. Any insight is still VERY VERY VERY welcome!

There is a recall on some blackjack 2's for a bad antenna, google it.

i use sprite terminator as a lojack type of app. i notice that my voicemail notification is activated if say, my girlfriend checks my location using a sprite cmd. but i simply deactivated the alarm via phoneAlarm and it goes away. it is kind of annoying but thats the way it works so what are you going to do? if i were you id return the device. cingular is pretty good about it and you can have a new one in less than 2 days at no cost to you.

btw, i got my blackjack two by bricking my bj1 on purpose and demanding they give me a bj2 with wm6. they dont know whats going on and i dont think they really care. i had to brick my orig bj1, they sent a replacement bj1, bricked that, then free bj2. sweet.

i think the recall youre referring to is the one for the blackjack i607 not the i617.

are you running a custom homescreen? i know with the one i have it'll show either none or 1 voicemail whether i have voicemail or not. havent figured out why though. if i switch to the regular ones it doesnt happen.

Nope, no custom home screen or anything. I have a lot of programs, but I listed the only "weird" programs I run.
