Guest Mr Alom Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) :D Hi All, Is there a tweak to have the SMS delivery notification switched on? Rather then going into message option from a new SMS screen and then check/tick for SMS notification to be recieved, every time I send an important text. Edited March 22, 2008 by Mr Alom
Guest hotphil Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) From the SMS inbox>menu>tools>options>tap SMS/MMS>select Request delivery notfications I think I read that some networks have started charging for these now. Edited March 22, 2008 by hotphil
Guest lozzd Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Also, if you want the SMS delivery notices to be useful (e.g. able to set a different tone, make it show the name of the person rather than the number) use the excellent SMSDRFIx by Saman. http://www.saman-cz.com/ppc/index.html?drfovrw.html Give it a go.

I know that!!..but is there anyway of permanently requesting delivery notification rather then ticking this every time I send a text message? I'm sorry if I wasn't clear but thanks for the reply.
Guest Mr Alom Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 kaiser tweaks. That tweak is for "SMS sent notification" not "SMS delivery notification".
Guest thegoods12188 Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 I'm pretty sure it has the option. If not, use advanced config

The Kaiser tweak in the Wiki turns OFF the annoying "message sent" pop up. The SMSDRFix app replaces the number in the message delivery notification with the contact name from your address book and may be quite useful. What is it you're trying to do if it's none of those?

Guest Mr Alom Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 HERE YOU GO MR. LAZY! http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment...mp;d=1202347134 :D Mate, if you want to help, then help! no need to be rude!!!!!!!!! Thank you Mr Rude-man!
Guest Monolithix Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 OK everyone, take it easy. Mr Alom: There are two places to set delivery reports - in each message and in the inbox settings, as described above (its an easily missed subtlty but definately there!) thegoods12188: Thanks for your input, replies are more useful if you provide a link in the first place though, there's no need to be rude :D
Guest Mr Alom Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 dude come on....ever hear of google? Have you heard of...responding in a responsible and professional maner?...obviously not !
Guest thegoods12188 Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) I'm not your "mate". Seriously though, search around nobody is going to do all your work for you. I gave you the name of the program you couldn't think hard enough to use google? Edited March 23, 2008 by thegoods12188

I gave you the name of the program you couldn't think hard enough to use google? thank god you're not! I don't have rude mates like you..."mate" is a polite way of calling names in UK but you won't know you obviously don't know the meaning of "polite ". I'd actually already found that tweak. I was asking about the advance config but anyway it's sorted and I don't/ never have asked anyone to do my work! I'd advise you not reply to any of my request for help until you go and learn some manners, there are high job professional IT people as member of this site and I'm sure they'd like to be spoken in a respectable and polite manner. Please be mature with your replies, read and also understand before you respond.Sorry to you all again, if I wasn't clear. Edited March 24, 2008 by Mr Alom
