Pocket IE corrupts .ZIP downloads?

Ever heard of Pocket IE corrupting .ZIP downloads? I first noticed this when I couldn't open a downloaded ZIP with Total Commander, so I tried copying it from my computer via activesync - worked fine. (You can read the details of that on my post on the Total Commander forums) So a quick Google search on the matter turned up this page on xda-developers (Google cache)...unfortunately without a fix.

Have you guys heard of this before? One thing I notice is that the file I download with Pocket IE is different than the one I download on my computer. For example, this file shows up as 142kb when downloaded on the device, but 144kb when copied over from my computer.

I'd appreciate any ideas anyone has. Thanks!
