Guest gmatharu12 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Hey everyone, my contract with T-mobile is ending in a week, I currently use the T-Mo MDA Vario II. It has been great and I have been looking into a new phone. The following seem to appeal to me (in order of preference): Asus P750 Samsung G810 Nokia N82 MDA Vario III LG Viewty. Moving on though, Lets just go with Asus P750 for now. I want to keep my T-mobile number but want to start a new contract with T-mobile by buying a Asus P750 from Expansys. I have been told by a Expansys and 2 T-mobile customer representives it would be impossible to transfer my number between contracts, is this true?? And why isn't it possible, it seems really odd. If its true I can't, Can i bring my number to a Orange or o2 Pay-as-you-go SIM Card, then request a PAC code to transfer it back to a new Expansys T-mobile contract?? Do you think you have to wait at least 30 days before you can request a PAC Code? Thanks very much in advance. I have transferred my number 2 times, So I've planned to keep my number a lot and its worked really well every time. Cheers again (and any comments on any of the other phones I mentioned vs the Asus P750 are welcome).
Guest Mysterious Stranger Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Port out and port back. Used to take 30 days to action, now it takes 5 or 6. You can leave the PAYG as soon as it is connected. My favourite is going to Virgin - a virtual network using t-mob's infrastructure run by t-mob for virgin ( least it was a few years ago)! And they say it can't be done within the same network.... M.S P.S Or get a kaiser/ameo as an upgrade, flog it and buy the Asus offline. Sort of thing I usually do.
Guest gmatharu12 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Awesome! Thanks for the advice, I believe Virgin is still one of those virtual networks, so yea I'll do that. I'm not good at selling my stuff online or offline, let alone I have a MDA Vario II I could sell too. Cheers M.S, Much appreciated...
