Insatalling application error "not a valid CE application"

everytime i try to install any programs or games on my samsung blackjack II i1617 i get this error. anyone know why? i'm trying to install a program made for windows mobile 6.0. please help.

I think that most or all installers for Windows Mobile (Win CE) are in .CAB file format. You might be trying to run the .EXE file on your phone. Some programs that I've used require you to run them on your computer with your phone connected, and install to the phone that way.

For starters, look and see if the file you're talking about ends in the .CAB or .EXE extension. Also, describe exactly which program or game you're talking about and I'll try it myself.

((Also, I'm aware that there are tons of these packs and sets of progs/games on the Torrent sites. I don't use them anymore, but I have tried a few of these on my last phone. Many are corrupted and will give you this error. Most are posted illegally too.. so not reccomended...))
