Trouble with Outgoing Calls

Within the last few hours, a problem has developed on my BJII. When I place an outgoing phone call, my phone doesn't ring in my ear. The other phone I am calling DOES ring and often show up as a missed call, but my phone just says "Dialing..." and is silent. During the time it displays "Dialing..." on my screen, my microphone is "hot" and I can hear myself breathing in my own ear.

I talked to AT&T and they did some over-the-air activation, but that didn't fix the problem. They said the next thing they could do was a full reset of the phone or even replace it.

I'm on 3G network if that makes any difference, and it doesn't do this every time I place a call. It's very annoying because I have no idea if the other person has picked up the phone, finished ringing and gone to a missed call, etc.

Any thoughts? Is my phone messed up?

It turns out, the people I am calling ANSWER their phones but don't hear anything on the other end.. from my end, I have no idea that the call even made it through!

Hmm, that's interesting, and it's really sounding like your best bet, unfortunately would be to hard reset it.

A hard reset will tell you if there's something that got messed up (eg. registry changes or other tweaks) or if it's something wrong with the phone. If it turns out to be something wrong with the phone, then you'll have to go through warranty, otherwise the problem will be fixed...though we won't know what caused it...

Is there any way it could be related to the GPRS, Medianet, internet settings?

It's still just doing it occasionally... it's hit or miss... very wierd.
