I think there are some 6.1 ROMs floating around, but as far as I know they are unofficial. And installing new ROMs means it wipes eveything off your phone, including all the Samsung stuff and any AT&T stuff you might have. If you don't care about that, then you can find a 6.1 over at xda-developers.com

I'm waiting for the official Samsung release.

Who knows when that will be... and you can look all over the web and see different rumors and dates.

EDIT: Thanks Nottach, I've bookmarked it. This should help settle the confusion.

MS claims manufacturers should be able to release updates to users by the second half (or maybe they said second quarter, but I doubt it) of this year.

There are currently no WM6.1 leaks for the Blackjack II, only the BJ1.

Im running the BJ1 WM6.1 at the moment. I do not recommend flashing to it, different key maps make navigation difficult. Im getting used to it, luckily I backed up my stock ROM so I can switch back if needed.

I found a couple 6.1s that I thought about trying... there are a couple on xda-developers and I found one on ther torrent sites. The one on the torrent sites seem unbranded, but who knows if it's clean.

I'll probly give it a shot.. but of course I'll make a backup before I go flashing away..

Let us know how it turns out, if well I'd like a link to the torrent. Good luck.

Still looking for a decent ROM backup utility... grrr.. Can't find the one I used on my HTC..

Nottach what did you use to do a backup?

The only available ROMS are for the BJ1, not the BJII. You cannot flash a BJII with a BJ1 ROM. There are some people working on one, but at this point, it's probably best to just wait for the official release.

Yep, be vary wary that the 6.1 ROMs are for the original i607 BlackJack, not the i617 BlackJack II. I remember people flashing their i600's with the i607 WM6 ROM then wondering why it didn't work, make sure you have right ROM for your device!

I used Buzz Lightyears "grab it" tool. Have to do some work to the returned .bin file though.
