Restrict ActiveSync 4.5 to sync-only?

The bank I work at is quite snooty about adding USB drivers to our desktops, apparently "since gigs of bank data could leak without any record of it".

I might be able to get approval, and so get my new pda phone to sync with Outlook, if I show them how to allow Outlook syncing, but not file transfer. The bank controls all software access, including ActiveSync. Is there a way to do this to ActiveSync?

Thanks, looking into this. Right now, we download emails to a .pst on a corporate share. I always kept contacts and appointments in the same place, but I may be able to put them back on the server and access them by VPN.
