To everyone who has had enough of the SPV...

What I suggest you do is take the phone back to the shop and change it for a different phone. I had a 7650 for a while. That's very stable, usable and I'm sure you'd get on fine with it. You might want to opt for a full refund and wait for the P800 which I believe will be available soon.

It's better you take your SPV back to the shop today than post angry comments about it tomorrow.

Thanks.

Heh, no, nor Nokia.

I think the SPV is possibly the best thing in the world.

I spent alot of time researching the best phone on the market. The SPV scored 90% average in consumer ratings making the number one spot....and its still in its early stages!!!!!!

Are you sure about your views Ed?

Hmmm.. So shall we just kill this thread then??:

Hmmm, why do you say that?

I think if the people concerned did take my advice there would be a lot fewer red, shaky, angry boys posting comments about how certain companies “suck” and more useful, informative or genuinely inquisitive ones.

yes please mate, really had enough of these!

And surley I don't have to point out the irony here.

Its only because people like you have no idea how to be constructive their havnt been that many but of the people ive herd from who have sent their spvs back 1 maybe 2 people have made constructive critism rather than the usual b*lls*it and sarcasm! THATS what ive had enough of hence "oh no not another one of these please delete it"

Sort it out please...

Ok...now i misunderstood your original post i think i understand what you are saying now

"insted of complaining about SPV on here, dont wine to us just take it back we dont want to hear about it"

A better choice of words might have helped!

Sorry ED

Heh, quite alright mate. Yes, that's basically exactly what I was saying. It was a bit surreptitious, but that was for the sake of humour :)

I guess the heat being stuck in a DJ booth in Ibiza even at this time of year can get to one ;-)

I too have had enough of my SPV, but still think it’s a brilliant phone. My main grief is that I can’t rely on it, IE I am always switching it on and off to make sure that I no text messages waiting, the battery life. The occasional crash that I don’t know about, resulting in missed calls, and the poor reception inside my office, yes, I know I can use the desk phone.

However, I will be keeping it, and hoping that the bug fixes make it a viable option, for the moment, I will be using my little V66e, that I can rely on, to do the normal phone things!!

A hopeful Sunk!!!

I have had the phone for about 8 weeks. Could I send it back to Orange and get away with it? How much is the p800, bearing in mind that I will need a larger pocket for it cause its HUGE.

Carphone warehouse guy said that they has to send one (p800) back 7 times cause it was unreliable!!!!

that sounds like a sales pitch to me!!!

Not dissin the SPV, i love it, like all M$ products, they are generally crud until a service pack or 2 have been added, I rarly have crashes (touch wood) and I only seem to have missed a few phone calls. but thats not necessarily a bad thing, depending on who was trying to get hold of me.

Also i saw in a thread somewhere that someone was waiting weeks for their SD card to arrive from http://www.valueflash.co.uk well, I ordered mine yesterday morning and i put it in my phone at lunchtime, and now happily ignoring the boss listening to mp3's.

sorry. shouldnt have allowed this sillyness to continue, and siince im on this topic. I love my SPV, despite its 'quirks'. Thought mainly cos it makes all my mates jealous ;) Only thing that really bugs me is the dust and stuff under the screen, but i can live with it for now.

Prised mine apart and removed the dust (used the girlfriend's make-up brush so don't tell her). Lovely clear screen now but I've got a line of chips out of the casing where I levered on it. Still I prefer the knackered case to the dusty screen, that was really anoying me.
