Does anyone know why the stereo bluetooth sounds like junk? I have used three different blackjack IIs and several headphones so I know this is not an isolated issue. Is there any registry hack or something that will improve this?

because a2dp compresses the audio stream. bt audio is not for audiophiles. its for convenience, not quality

Thanks for your response.

I realize this but the tinny staticky noise I get on my blackjack is not present when I use my headphones on another phone like samsung blast. I heat most people on forums saying the sound on their blackjacks are fine but thei are a couple of people like me that cant get them to work right. any ideas as to why this is? is there any hacks to fix this?

I was just messing with core player and it seems the route of the problem is the lower range. The 12, 16, and I think 14Hz bands are the screwed up ones but I still dont know the cause. Can anyone else at least confirm this is a universal issue?

A2DP on the BJ2 is crap. I've played with nearly every registry change possible, and tried 4 diffeernt sets of headphones. yes you get that over compressed shrilly sounds...notably in the highs. I think it boils down to a crappy encoder codec. If you get it fixed let me know, in the meantime I switched to a different device music device

Thank you. Thats actualy a relief, I thought I was the only one. At least now I know it's a universal issue. I have tried changing the MTU and device channel in the registry but it didn't seem to help much if at all. I will keep trying and let you know.

no...I assume since you are posting here that you are hoping maybe to improve tha A2DP? In the hours I "wasted" trying to get it to sound good I believe I discovered the file handling the a2dp encoding (compression)..there is the obvious a2dp.dll and there is another (cannot remember). If you could find a COMPATIBLE dll and repoint the registry key to it...then "maybe" this could be improved/fixed
