Guest danzer Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 Hey guys... Here are a couple things I would really like to fix on my phone: 1) MMS doesn't seem to work on my phone anymore. I tried sending a picture to a friend and it didn't work. Also I tried sending a ringtone to another friend and that didn't work either. 2) I tried sending that same ringtone via email and that didn't work either... it said it was sending for a while, but never did. 3) When I click on the IE button, it just says alert: The page cannot be displayed because the connection was lost. Please try again... but I actually have almost full bars on 3G I would really appreciate it if you guys can help meĀ out here... Thank you -Danzer

Guest bugmenot111 Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 (edited) While in IE, go to Menu/Tools/Options/Connections/ and make sure that "Automatically detect settings" is not checked and the Selected network is WAP Network. For MMS go to Messaging and click on Messages/Menu/scroll down to Multimedia Msg. Options/3. Multimedia Msg. Profiles/ and verify that AT&T MMS selected. Then down below select Menu/Edit/ scroll down to GPRS and verify that Media Net is selected. If none of this helps then you may have to re-create a new GPRS setting under Settings/Connections/GPRS Post back with the out come, then we'll move on to GPRS settings if need be... Yea everything you said had already been chosen on my phone... hopefully i'll start working again... its weird though becuase sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't... it could be that i don't have a strong enough connection to send i guess
Guest bugmenot111 Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 (edited) Access the Browser Settings for the Samsung BlackJack II http://www.wireless.att.com/answer-center/...&isSrch=Yes Configure Picture Message (MMS) Settings for the Samsung BlackJack II http://www.wireless.att.com/answer-center/...&isSrch=Yes I had pretty much the same problem around 2 months ago, I went under GPRS settings and created a new setting for Media Net and named it "Media Net2" follow the setting as posted under Browser Settings but for, User name: [email protected] and Password: CINGULAR1 (Att site says to leave those fields blank, but the User name and Password I got from another site and they worked...) I'm sure I deleted the original settings titled "Media Net". And for MMS I went to Messaging and click on Messages/Menu/scroll down to Multimedia Msg. Options/3. Multimedia Msg. Profiles/ and verify that AT&T MMS selected. Then down below select Menu/Edit/ scroll down to GPRS and selected Media Net2. After all that, I've not had any trouble for the last 2 months with connection issues. hth Edited April 16, 2008 by bugmenot111
Guest danzer Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Thanks bugmenot111 I just tried opening IE and it said 403 Forbidden, don't really know what that means. I have Opera Mobile and that works fine so I think that should do for now. It's much better than IE anyways
