Guest LilDali Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Hello, I am new to the hole windows mobile scene, or I would like to be. :D The problem I am having is my friend is moving back to the states (from Germany) and he has a HTC Vox. He said I could have it if I can get it working. It does not turn on at all. When I plug in the charger the light does not even come on. I am thinking the battery is shot. Seeing as he was using it as a paper weight. He said he had problems with it turning off on him and got fed up with it and bought himself a BlackBerry. I will go to the local handy shop and see if I can try a battery out to see if is the porblem unless someone knows of better way to find this out. Since I am getting it from him how do I go about registering the device and getting the software that came with the phone. He does not have anything that came in the box with it. I hope his handy provider can help me out even though I am going to use my sim card in it. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. LD
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 If the phone is the HTC version you should be able to register the device on the HTC e-club website. As for software you need to visit Microsoft for Activesync or Mobile device Center depending on the OS your pc is running. More information can be found here. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/act...nc/default.mspx The only other software that you need as such is Microsoft Outlook which would enable you to sync your contacts and email etc with your pc.
