Guest Big Spin Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Im new to this whole pda phone scene. I just got my HTC Tornado for T Mobile and there are some things on it i have no clue what are. On my phone is a MAPI File and a docprof file and typhoon nbftools dll and sapi file. I dont know what these things are for so if anyone can help i would appreciate it.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Welcome to the site :D These system files you list are not really important to know as such from an end user point of view. MAPI stands for Messaging Application Program Interface it contains your sent emails docprof is another system file which I believe is also involved with the mail side typhoon nbftools dll is the tool used for updating and reading the nbf part of the security block SAPI stands for speech application programming interface, as far as I know this controls the voice recognition.
