I purchased 2 unlocked BJK II for myself and wife.

Black one for me Red for her. They are set up identical yet with usage of just a few phone calls (not very long) and some moderate internet usage my battery is dead. We are talking about not even getting a half day usage at times. While my wife's phone she calls and searches internet plus plays dang games and she has not nearly the battery drain I have.

I did a little test where we made the same phone calls for the same length of time. We searched the net same and played bubble pop game for same length of time. My phone died and my wife still had 2 bars on her battery.

Is this common or do I just have a crappy battery.

I have let both phones drain out a couple of times then recharged as I have with past devices. With battery drain like this the phone is useless to me unless I stay plugged in for the major part of the day.

Just interested as I have read on some other forums that some folks are having some battery issues but maybe not exactly as mine.

There are a few known battery issues with this phone, but what you described sounds to be more likely a defective battery.

The only factor I could think of here is if you have GPS or 3G on while she does not. Both of these significantly drain battery life, and either one could be the result of less than half of a day's worth of battery life.

If you know for a fact that both GPS and 3G are not the issue (if your wife is using one of them also, or if you know they're off) then you should call Samsung and go through warranty.

I think I will have to call Samsung as we were both on the 3G network at the time. Not using for GPS as I have stand alone unit that handles that much easier.

Thanks for the feedback.

This seems like a needlessly exhaustive approach at figuring out the problem without trying to swap the batteries and see if the problem follows the battery to the other phone. Why not try that?
