Internet not working on applications other than IE

I think this might have started after I installed the Microsoft GPSID program, but I'm not actually sure.

Anyways, I can access the 3G internet on my phone through IE, but applications such as Google Maps, Windows Live Search, and vTap are unable to connect to the internet. Also, MEdiaNet says "The page cannot be found" and my Cingular Video says "We are temporarily experiencing technical difficulties."

This seems very strange, if my phone can successfully connect to the internet and I can view websites on IE, how come none of the other applications on it can access the internet as well?

In Windows Connections settings I have set to connect to WAP Network.
