Guest John Lees Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 Hi I have searched for an answer to this and tried to find someone at orange to give me a straight answer as well but i cannot find a definitive answer. I am on an orange panther tarriff with orange world daily capped. I am just about to have exchange server installed and want to use the push email / contacts / diary functions on my tytn ii. I am sure that many users have this setup but i want to know what Orange data plans are being used as i recall that the push email heartbeat clocks up a lot of data usage. john
Guest trevormuk Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 I have push email setup on my Touch ...with Orange data I have the settings so I only receive email headers, and then only receive the messages I want. My data usage is very low... certainly nowhere near the cap.. Hope this helps T
Guest John Lees Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 Is that the orange world daily capped usage? or do you pay a monthly fee. Oranges data tarriffs are sooo confusing. john

Oranges data tarriffs are sooo confusing. john I pay a monthly fee (forget how much it is ... but the monthly data amount is quite low .. but sufficient for my needs) Coming to the end of my time with orange... and will be going back to vodafone (with them for years and years.. until I decided to try orange for 12 months!) Guest John Lees Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Many thanks for your help. I am considering a move as well. I have 3 contract phones with them and about to get a PAYG for my son. I make frequent calls to spain and wanted to use a new piece of software(speak2.tv) to manage a couple of these call back services so that i could get free calls to spain from my phone and free calls from my PAYG but it turns out that Orange are the most expensive way to deal with calls between my own phones as everything comes out of your inclusive minutes or my one magic number and the PAYG magic number isn`t really all that magic with reduced cost calls instead of free calls. only thing is i have never had call problems with orange so worried that i move would not be a good thing john
