SPV locks up

my SPV locks up quite often and I have to take the battery out and in again to make it start up again! The on/off switch refuses to work... sometimes its during using, but most of the time it happens during powersave mode... when the screen goes blank.

Anyone experienced this and anyone know of a fix?

I have a UK unit and the system is V 3.0 (build 12255)
