ActiveSync and syncing Calender entries from phone to outook 2003 on PC

I have Outlook 2003 on my PC/Win XP with no calander entries.

All my calender entries were on my BJ2.

I wanted to put my entire BJ2 calender into Outlook/Calander on my PC.

What I did was run ActiveSync and chose the Calender option

(as well as ALL in the calender settings). After device syncing, the calender

entries on my phone were all gone. It looks like ActiveSync

synchronized my Bj2 calender to the empty PC Outlook Calender.

Is this how ActiveSync works?

Do I need update the PC Outook/Calender and then

ActiveSync to dump to the phone?

Can you not sync the entries on the phone to the PC

(i.e. put/append phone entries to PC)?

A little confusing.

I saw a setting in Active Sync the other day that lets you pick which device is the priority over the other when it finds an updated file. You can pick the PC or the Phone. I wonder if your Active Sync is set to PC right now. Unfortunately I’m at work and don't have Active Sync here to tell you how to find it. It might be under "settings", or "options", or something like that.
