Guest Socrates Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 6.1 standard does not have a built in RDP client AFAIK? P Bummer. I saw it on several comparison sheets seveal months back. One was from MS themselves I believe. I'll have to dig them up.
Guest Socrates Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 OK, quick search on google pulls up this MS page: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/6-1/default.mspx Which links to this page which is the MS one I had seen previously: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/6-1...comparison.aspx Which says that windows 6.1 standard has and RDP client. I just noticed though that is has a footnote that it's an "optional licenseable component". Does that mean that it's up to the handset manufacturer to put it on or not? If that's the case, then that is annoying. This is something I've been wanting. I've tried some of the hacked together and java alternatives and none of them really work very well, IMO. Was hoping MS would get it right.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 That's right... and i've not seen anyone including it yet! :D P
Guest Sayuuk Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Boo. :D :D Now I'll have to look for another way to get some decent free RDP client... Otherwise I'll have to go for a 3rd party VNC solution...

I've linked to the wm 6.1 RDP client from a recent article, it also works on the MS Smartphone platform. check out my article, it's been posted to the PPC forum here.

Good luck for anyone trying to find that 6.1 RDP client from "a recent article". I've search these forums for 30 minutes now and I've yet to find it. All I've found is a remote access bible which I believe the most recent update was in January. I Wouldn't consider that recent (January to August).
Guest Monolithix Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 http://www.modaco.com/content/xperia-x1-x1...ia-x1-software/ Second to last item on the first post? Not tried it out but it should suit your needs?
Guest gardndj Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008  Now I'll have to look for another way to get some decent free RDP client... Here's the link: http://www.zatelnet.com/zadesktop/main.php
