Looking for a Pocket PC with good reception.

Hi, I currently own an i-mate SPL with windows mobile 6.0 installed. I also have an old razr that's laregly bit the dust by now. My fiancee is sick to death of my SPL because it's reception is inferior compared to my previous razr. I was able to have a clear conversation in areas of low reception (outside of the city and inside a building with lots of electronic interference). My Razr normally showed 2 bars in these areas and I never dropped a call. the only time I couldn't talk to someone was when there was zero signal.

My SPL not only frequently drops calls, but seems to have less range, often getting half a bar or zero bars (but still saying it's connected). Also, annoyingly, if I cradle it in my shoulder my signal drops to nothing, even if I am at full bars.

I am looking for a phone of similar functionality (WM6) but with the reception of a normal phone. I would prefer a touchcreen phone such as an HTC, hence why I am posting here. Can someone reccommend a phone that will work in low reception areas that a phone like the SPL has difficulty working in?

Seriously, 300+ views and not one person has a recomendation? All I am asking is if anyone can point me to a pocket PC or a smartphone that has good reception and preferably a decent price tag.

If you want top reception, I've always found the Motos to be the best (as have you it seems).

How about a Motorola Q9H?

I had almost forgotten about the 9H, I have a friend who has an original Moto Q and you are right, it gets good reception, but I was looking for a WM6 phone and it didn't occur to me the new Q has WM6. Thanks for the suggestion, and if anyone else wants to contribute feel free!
