Backlight randomly lights up

Sometimes on my BlackJack II when its just laying around and I'm not using it, the backlight lights up the display for some reason, then it turns off after the time I set but like comes back on shortly after and this cycle repeats.

This is when nothing is running in the background so I don't know why it's happening, can anyone enlighten me?

this happens to me when bluetooth is enabled.....

Yeah I don't have Bluetooth enabled either :D

Mine seems to come on whenever a new email comes in. I wish there was a way to disable this battery-draining annoyance.

It happens whenever mine is switching between G, Edge or 3G network. Also whenver I receive an email or any other type of message. I have not been able to find any settings to change this.

I've noticed this when I have a large number of text messages. Once I clear them, the problem goes away. I'm just adding my 2 cents.

I have this same problem. Seems to light up all of the time. I can't get it to stay dim.

if you do some searching on the forum, youll find your answer. go into the connections settng, and turn off one of the settings im not sure which, but search its there. look in my posts, i replyed to such thread
