Guest wyx2000 Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 I have my BlackJack II from Fido, I installed Garmin on it,through the days I have used it, It had some occasional halt, for which I have to remove the battery to let it do a cold reboot. Usually when that was happened, the first reboot will halt on the carrier's logo, I have to reboot it again, and till now, the second reboot were always successfully. I did try to reset the system , but it seems the problem is still there. I am sure this problem is not just about the Garmin, but Garmin did cause some problem. One day, I use it to direct me to one place. After I drove out for several hundred meters, the Garmin was able to lock the satellites, but it worked well. When I reached the place, I didn't quite Garmin. After 30 minutes, my friend called me, it didn't ring. I happened to see the screen and found the phone icon shown up. But it didn;t take my key pressing, so I had to reboot it. Sure a cold reboot. I want to know if you guys had the similiar experience, I suspect the window mobile is not quite stable.
Guest hagie92 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 hey, this sounds really abnormal, and I have never had any of these problems. It sounds like this is stuff that happens when you overclock your phone (freezing, no sound from speaker, or ring) I would really suggest exchanging it for another BJ 2. My windows mobile system is very stable, I wonder if Fido added something? (i use AT&T). I would try a hard reset. (Turn on your phone while pressing up on the scroll wheel) If that doesnt work, take your phone back to fido and exchange it. :D hope it works! Hagie92

At the moment it seems directly related to how much charge the battery has. This does not seem to ever happen when I have 75% charge or less. Take a look at the following thread: http://www.modaco.com/content/samsung-i617...ttent-freezing/ -J
Guest Mysterious Caveman Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 weird. I've NEVER had mine halt. I've been using mine for a few months and it's been perfect, at any charge.
