Guest gunnrack30 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 Hi all. hope someone can help. I'm looking at getting the TMobile Touch plus, currently have the compact III. If thats a bad idea please say so :D) Anyway..I read on the TM site that you can use it as a modem with your laptop. I guess I could with my old phones but as they weren't 3g I never bothered. With the 7.50 a month unlimited web and walk, i thought you were not allowed to hook up a laptop to your mobile, yet they are promoting this on their spiel about the phone on their own website. 1) Does anyone know if I will be able to do this, and if so, is it an easy proceedure? 2) Can you use this abroad (Spain) or will I get charged squillions. Thanks a mill in advance GR
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 Hi and welcome you can't ... or aren't supposed to connect to a computer on the 7.50 tarriff but with the next one up Web n Walk plus (3GB/month) you can. It saves you needing to get one of those Mobile Broadband thingies. It's dead easy to do though. Connect phone via usb, and open the Internet Sharing application. Yes you can use it abroad, but it depends which networks they have partner agreements with ... and its probable it will be expensive!
Guest James Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 T's and C's here:- http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/fairuse/
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 You can, but shouldn't is probably the answer ;-) And abroad, yes, you'll get charged an arm and a leg! P
