Guest hagie92 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 hmm...thats weird. Does your * button usually not work? If you press the * button from the home screen, will it do anything? If this keeps happening, I suggest a HARD reset...THIS WILL DELETE ALL PERSONAL DATA, and restore your phone to the condition to which you received it. To do this, press up and power at the same time. If this problem still pursues, I would return the phone for another. Hope it helps! -Hagie92

Having less than a full charge resolves the issue (as if that's a real resolution). Check out my last post here: http://www.modaco.com/content/samsung-i617...ttent-freezing/ -J

If your screen will not unlock, press the (fn) button, I have noticed that the (fn) key still works when the keys are locked. If the (fn) key gets accidentally pressed 2 times, it locks the keys to the (fn) setting ie. a=/ b=# and so on. so when you are trying to press (s) it is actually pressing (*) which, strangely enough, dose not unlock the phone; you have to press (fn) and then press (s) to unlock the phone. This is just my understanding from trial and error.

Guest slugshot_90 Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 so your saying the problem could be that the fn key is being pressed in my pocket
