Guest Lalex Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 Hi there, I just bought BJ2 and managed to sync it with my PC - Outlook 2007. However, BJ2/WM6 doesn't let me receive new e-mails to the "synced Outlook folder" on BJ2 via GPRS, meaning send/receive option is greyed and I'm able to send/receive mails from that folder (account) only after I connect the smartphone with the PC. Is there any way I could receive new messages to that account via GPRS and then sync back with Outlook on PC? (without Exchange obviously) If I remember well, this wasn't an issue on WM5 platform. Thanks! P.S. I can get new messages when I create a new mail account on BJ2, but it is separated from original sync Outlook folder.
Guest jimbouk Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 No. Syncing over the air is only supported with exchange servers in WM6. But if youe email is pop etc, you can still access it on your device.

I just wanted to be able to sync messages from PC to BJII and then be able to reply on those messages from my BJII using GPRS, but that isn't possible?
Guest jimbouk Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Leave your outlook off when are away from it. You can collect your emails in a seperate pop/imap account on your device and reply from that account. As far as recipients are aware, it is from your same email address. Then when you sync oulook later it will collect the inbound emails but not the sent items. If your email service offers imap, then you can replicate sent items and sub folders easly too.
