Guest theunoticeable Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Hi there, Just joined, did a few hours reading and downloading. Quick question for a noob I've tried installing MoDaCo Smartphone GPS Activator on my bjII, and I can't quite seem to get it work, it says something about not having the user rights or something equally equivilant. I gave up after tens of installation failed messages, and decided to give SDA app unlocker a try, but no dice. It failed too with a non valid winCE message. I've attempted going through forum posts and it's not panning out too well, Every user with a similiar issue is just told to read posts, and there aren't any If someone, anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks, Matt

Guest theunoticeable Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 hi, i used the on device mirroe install and it seemed to work fine for me. Im not sure wich one you are downloading but give that one a try if you havent I've tried all of the options at this point. All give me the same error, which reads: "Installation was unsuccesful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions" So I have officially attempted over the air, PC to phone and Cab file on phone. All give me the exact same error. Seems to me it's a pretty common problem but there doesn't seem to be any answers as to how to correct this. I'm going to play around with system settings and see what doesn't work, but if anyone can offer more than "read the forums" please chip in at this point.
Guest theunoticeable Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 SO after many hours of thread crawling time wasting fun, I found my answer. Anyone else having this issue it's probably because you're from canada and using either rogers or fido i617 bjII. Refer to this thread for help http://www.modaco.com/content/samsung-i617...thread-of-tips/ Just follow the steps. Worked for me!
