Guest bgates22 Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Here is my issue: when I'm in WM Player, click "Library," and then click "Album," (my preferred method of getting to my songs), several of the songs have been incorrectly filed into the "Unknown" folder rather than the proper album folder. I've proven that is a problem with WM Player and not the files. For example, I downloaded a trial version of Pocket Tunes 4, and it organized all of the songs in the proper album folders. For some reason, WM Player is reading the file tags incorrectly. I'm not sure how this happened. It's only happened to songs that I've actually listened to on the device. I tried deleting the "problem" albums from my micro SD card reinstalling them, and updating the library, but this didn't work. If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Other than this problem, WM Player suits my needs and I have no desire to spend money on another player such as Pocket Tunes. Thanks.
Guest omahawk Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 After downloading music and playlists you will need to Update the Library. When WMP starts go to Menu->Update Library. Takes time but it will fix the labels.

I had some similar issues, some being misfiled and didn't play, and some simply not playing. Fortunately, I was able to fix this, though, by removing the problem playlists/albums/songs from the SD and re-syncing with WMP. I don't know what the problem was, let alone why my solution didn't work for you! Edited June 20, 2008 by JeepinCalifornia
