MWg have a stunning offer available this month - claim £50 cash back when you purchase this device! Check MWg's cash back claim form for full terms and conditions. The MWg Atom V is the first Windows Mobile device exclusively designed and launched by MWg (founded by the team responsible for O2’s ground-breaking products in Asia). Seems a good deal on Paul and Mono's Podcast featured device - the Atom V, especially with some of the bundles on offer. Are MWG worried about losing sales to the HTC Touch Diamond perhaps? Will the discount tempt you into picking one up? M.S

M.S even without rebate, the original price from Expansys Hong Kong is HK$4,585 (i.e. £295), MWG and Expansys are cheating people in UK??? http://www.expansys.com.hk/p.aspx?i=165055 people can have a even lower price in Hong Kong, when you buy Atom V in store, since, it sells really bad. people rather buy its bigger brother, G-Smart MS800, in a lower price, and enjoys richer feature (such as Video Call Camera), and better software bundling. will you still think it's a good deal from MWG / Expansys???

How much is the sales tax in Hong Kong? 17.5% in the UK, items imported are also liable to duty at a certain rate as well. ( If they catch you!) M.S

( If they catch you!) M.S There is NO sales tax in HK. I'm just curious why under the same company (expansys), the same brand (MWG), how come they cheat UK customers and telling them they enjoy a "discount", when the retail price in the rest of the world is even lower.

That isn't cheating. You're not paying tax on that. On the UK price, we are @ 17.5%. Add 17.5% to the Hong Kong price....£347 ish..... so we are getting it cheaper before added VAT with the £299 including tax offer. How is complying with the tax laws in a country cheating people off exactly? The standard retail price in Hong Kong is lower as you pay no tax!.....so the UK 'discount' price before tax is cheaper than HK @ £256 ish or about 4,000 HKD. Please check your facts before accusing people of 'cheating'. M.S

M.S How about a few other european countries that expansys sell in Germany = €519,95 + £50 Cash back (sales tax =19%) total pre-tax price (Actual sale price - VAT - £50)= £295 Spain = €504,95 + £50 Cash back (Sales Tax = 16%) Total pre tax price (Actual sale price - VAT - £50)= £293.74 Italy = €504,95 + £50 Cash back (Sales Tax = 20%) Total pre tax price (Actual sale price - VAT - £50)= £295.44 France = €519,95 no Cash back (Sales Tax = 19.6%) Total pre tax price (Actual sale price - VAT - 0)= £343.29 Looks like the UK is getting a good deal for once (and for some reason the French are getting screwed over)
