Guest GlynF Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 (edited) Hi All! Loving my new EEE PC 4M in Black! However I need some advice. I have a Belkin Wireless G Router (F5D7320-4) connected to Virgin Media box for Cable Internet. MY EEE is fine when the wireless is set without encryption. But when I set WEP encryption on with an appropriate 8 figure code, my EEE fails to connect. Here is the log: Configuring interface ath0=lan1 (inet) run-parts --verbose /etc/network/if-pre-up.d Starting WEP wireless connection... Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) : invalid argument "12341234". ifconfig $IFACE up dhclient3 -cf /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.$LOGICAL.conf -pf /var/run/dhclient.$IFACE.pid -lf /var/run/dhclient.$IFACE.leases $IFACE Internet Systems Consortium DHCP Client V3.0.4 Copyright 2004-2006 Internet Systems Consortium. No working leases in persistent database - sleeping. run-parts --verbose /etc/network/if-up.d I think the last 6 lines indicate the fault. I have tried Auto and Ad-Hoc mode settings on the EEEpc. I have reset my belkin router, turned off DHCP Clients. Any advice? Cheers and Thank You in advance. Glyn. Edited June 23, 2008 by GlynF
