Contacts on Mobile Outlook and SIM really neccessary?

I always had my contacts on the SIM when I owned non-smartphones

but now is it really necessary to have contacts on the BJ2 SIM.

I also don't like having the Outlook and SIM contacts showing simultaneously

in the contacts list. Is there a way to not display the SIM contacts.

You can sync anytime between PC and BJ2 easily. I actually sync/push my

hotmail and Outlook contacts (from Windows Live Hotmail website) and not directly from PC Outlook.

Even if the phone died I could still sync contacts to a new phone.

Comments?

No its not necessary unless you swap your sim into a dumbphone sometimes.

I haven't had any sim contacts for about ten years now as everything is synced with exchange server.

No, it's not necessary. To not display SIM contacts Start->Settings->Call Options

and uncheck 'Show SIM contacts'

Sorry, I missed this.

settings>phone>all calls>call options>Uncheck show sim contacts

On my C600 it's

settings>phone>call options>Uncheck show sim contacts so even if I hadn't missed out the 'phone' I don't have the 'all calls' option so they must have changed the menus.

Hope you have it sorted now and thanks Sean (Tx) for correcting my omission.
