Guest awarner (MVP) Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Interesting views on the Diamond, I'm trying not to jump on the "I want one" bandwaggon just because its new, but as you have both now played with the device and given positive feedback its cetainly tempting. I'll have to wait until the highstreet stores stock them before I can have a play with one and make my own mind up but certainly sounds good.
Guest efjay Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Regarding the Omnia having 16GB storage and a microSD slot, that will come in handy with GPS apps like Garmin, iGO and others that insist on selling their software locked to a card. I personally favour this over the Diamond mainly because of the screen, it may be WQVGA but its 3.2 inches and that makes browsing and watching videos that much better.
Guest chrissyboy6969 Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Great to have the podcast back guys, not sure about your views on the Diamond, for me the Touch Flo UI is just not good enough, it is still way too slow and laggy even with the latest rom, also battery life, mine does not even last me a day with hsdpa and a few phone calls and push email, no way will it last 48 hours and when it warns you that it is going flat you have five minutes and boom it shuts off. Chris
Guest rameses Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 HURRAH! A podcast - :D The journey home from work will be interesting for a change.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Ahhhh....my fav podcast returns! Welcome back boys!
Guest Monolithix Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Glad everyone is enjoying our return :D Chris - i've read about the issues with lagginess of the TouchFlo 3D interface but I really haven't experienced anything on my Diamond that comes close to being an issue. Hopefully the new update will improve things for you!
Guest Clinton Fitch (Dot) Com! Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 Great podcast guys. Very engaging and informative. It seems that both of you are really keen on the Diamond - good to hear!
