Problems installing Windows Mobile Device Centre in Vista

When I run the cd for installing WMDC that came with my HTC Touch Cruise, it installs to 99% then it takes a few minutes then it installs again (so it seems) really fast then it gives an error saying the installation failed and i have to try it again. ( I have tried again... several times)

WHAT TO DO?!?!?!

Don't install it from the cd.

Plug your cruise into your pc.

Let it run the driver install.

Then click start, type windows update, then click on windows update and check for updates. WMDC will be downloaded from MS.
