Because you don't have GPS turned on and it is getting your position from triangulation of cell masts.

QuickGPS is an HTC program that comes with HTC phones, it is not available separately.

Have you enabled GPS and followed all the instructions for the BJII in these forums?

How long did you leave it? First fix can take up to 15 mins with clear line of site to satellites. Your 3G signal is totally irrelevant -it does not need any signal except being able to 'see' the satellites.

A simple look through this forum found http://www.modaco.com/content/samsung-i617...it-work-or-not/ but I am sure there are many more.

I had to download and run TeleNav once in order to get google maps and windows live to work. You might try that. I also ran that unlock program, but that was before I ran Telenav.

First open GPSTest.exe (it's in your Windows directory) and then open Google Maps. You'll get a fix after a few minutes.
