Guest deadphill Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 This is giving me the right hump now! I am running the latest version of Activesync on my win xp sp3 dell latitude d520 laptop. Activesync version 4.5.0 build 5096. In any case inserting the cd rom wont allow me to install a new version of activesync. Every time I try and add the diamond, I get an add new hardware device, Generic Serial. However I have been into settings and have disabled advanced network functionality. Ive deleted the device, rebooted my phone and my laptop, I have used 3 different usb cables including the one it comes with, and I have not got a clue why it wont activesync. It wont even go into disc mode! I have even put my kaiser back on and that still syncs! Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Phill
Guest deadphill Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 OK just found out the solution to my own problem. It also came up looking for a driver for Generic RNDIS drivers. I pointed it to c:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\Drivers Voila, its all working now. Hope this helps someone else in this situation. Cheers Phill
