Looking forward to this thread :D I might see if I can come up with anything myself

Not much to shout about. I tried some fancy gradient stuff but gave up. This looks quite nice, but the center needs moving

Does anybody have the original background image. I couldn't find it in touchFlo or the windows DIRs

For the first image shown (circuit one) I took a screenshot (with small clock) to get an original backdrop then edit away.

If I remember later I'll post a blank version. If I've more time tonight I'll make some more backdrops.

I like to keep the squares layout though and mainly change the top portion. That will change if/when we can skin the other home pages.

I was thinking the same. I'd like the original so I can change the opacity in photochop and the clockwould be nice on a seperate layer to get a feel for how things line up

Here you go - my blank base - the original may have a grey bar behind the icons iirc

also added some contact pic tests, deliberately skewed :D look best when assigned from manila not the windows contacts

here's a couple, I tend to leave my clock scrolled up now, so I can see more of the wallpaper.

I'm tempted to see if I could write an app that automatically changes the wallpaper once each day.

The 640 includes the top and bottom bars.

I was losing Evangeline's chin. :D

Allow 45ish pixels top and bottom to ensure your image appears between the toolbars.

Is there any way to put an animated background/wallpaper? I've tried to set an animated GIF, but only the first frame is showing. If someone knows how to do it, please share. I am talking only about a background for TF3D not switching to standard WM6.1 Active Today and put a wallpaper there.

Below is a list with all backgrounds I've downloaded (mostly from XDA-Dev)

Not that hard theoretically, I assume you could just have a 'todayswallpaper.jpg', change what that actually is, and it'd be changed first time you go away to and back to the home tab?

Hmmm... :D

Ok... total numpty here... sorry in advance....

On receiving my T-Mo MDS Compact IV I somehow thought a goldfish was a good background for my home screen. Laugh! I deserve it!

Since then, adding TF3D Config and HTC Black.theme and Htc black.tsk my phone has now grown up into a non-pink device... except I still have the f****** goldfish!! I have even removed the golfish file and edited the CachedBackgroundPath key.

I am trying to put "alienish" as the background (or any other dark jpg) but it fails to work when I select is as the "today screen" in File Manager.

Can anyone please help a poor deluded Welshman find the goldfish a new home?

Cheers

Simon

Have you tried this?

1. From TF3D scroll to the "Settings" tab.

2. Select the third option in the list called "Wallpaper"

3. Answer Yes (or No, depending how you wish) on the question asking if you want the "default" wallpaper

4. If you've answered No to the previous question, a new window will open allowing you to select the picture you want.

5. Select a new picture stored on your Diamond to be your new wallpaper

Thanks Rapier. This worked fine if I added another step to this in that I accepted the default wallpaper first and then went back and changed it. This seems to have removed the haunting goldfish.

Note to self: cider and registry tweaking don't mix :D

Cheers
