Guest pistola681 Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Hi, I've just got a ASUS Eee PC. I also have a skybroadband wireless internet connection which works fine on my xp laptop. However, when I tried connecting to my ASUS Eee PC the connection just says 'Pending' all the time. So to try and resolve this issue i've tried to setup up a static IP address which did help in the fact that I can now connect to the router, but I still can't get the internet working. I've spoke to SKY about this who said Linux doesn't support SKYbroadband. However, I then tried connecting via ethernet through the sky router and it worked fine. Some advice on how I can get the wireless connection working would be appreciated.
Guest Monolithix Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 OK it will work fine. When you set a static IP did you also set the default gateway and DNS servers on your EEE?
