Guest poshboyracer Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 I've just bought a MDA Compact 4 to replace my Blackberry Pearl, and i'm trying to get the whole email thing to work. I've set up the mail accounts from my domain on the MDA and it can recieve and send the emails now, and i've got hold of Birdiesync to connect to Thunderbird, which has the same accounts set up on it. I'd like both the MDA and Tbird to have the same mails in the same accounts after syncing, regardless of which device they were received on. But, after syncing, the mails received on the MDA disappear from the MDA and only appear in Thunderbird. Is it possible for both Tbird and MDA to have the same mails on at the same time following syncronisation? Thanks in advance....
Guest chucky.egg Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 I've not used TBird, so bear that in mind... First off, this isn't related to "Push" email by the sounds of it - you're using POP3 or IMAP I suspect, which would be polling periodically. If that is the case then you should set both TBird and your MDA to leave a copy of the messages on the server - that way, which ever connects, they should both get to download the same emails. I don't have a POP3 account setup ATM, so I cant tell you exactly where the setting is.
