Guest evidica Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 I am having issues with my BlackJack II where when i power it on, it stays on the Windows Mobile screen. I left it there for a couple hours and nothing. I need to salvage some data off of it when my new BlackJack II arrives today. Does anyone know how I could possibly do this? I at least want my contacts.
Guest mpxkiller Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Hey EV - I had a very similar problem yesterday (3aug08). After working fine in the morning, I had to power cycle and it only came up to the ATT pic. The only thing I could do was hard reset (pwr button + up toggle). Wish I could help you more, but i didn't find a solution to this problem. Killer

BTW you might want to know your computer will still recognize the phone as a windows mobile operating device, however activesync does not. Which means you might not have to hard reset, but I dont know. However in case you didnt know hard reset will erase everything so you wont get that information you wanted if you HR unless you stored them to your sim but if you stored them to outlook like most people then you wont be as lucky.
Guest evidica Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 yep, lost all my data, made Samsung send me a new phone. took a day to get it. Just curious, did any of you have an Exchange mailbox setup on it?

Hey Wolf - All my critical data is saved on Outlook (contacts, etc) while Exchange handles all the email. Mostly just the hassle of 'rebuilding' all the apps I had on the phone. In the end, phone is working like a champ after HR - and I probably eliminated some registry hacks that might have caused the problem. Someone else asked, "what were we doing before this happend?" The only thing I could think of is that I was coming off of a ship from a fairly cool room into a very humid, warm environment. Maybe the condensation tossed it for a loop. The phone worked fine when I first got off, but I had to turn it off thru customs (some weird DHS rule), and it never turned back on when we got our passports stamped. Killer
