Guest hourglass Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 hello, I purchased a network unlocked blackjack II and I am trying some GPS software for hiking. I application unlocked the phone (surreal cab) and installed the MS GPSID settings (com4, 38400). The GPS works fine (GPStest gets a fix etc). So far: - I've had no luck with Memory Map - I succeeded once with Pathaway (trial version) on NMEA/COM4 but I can't reproduce it (no connection to gps) It seems that Pathaway can also handle intermediate driver connection but it does not seem to work (no connection to gps) 1) does anybody use memory map or Pathaway? (how?) 2) Does the intermediate driver still work now that I installed the MS GPSID settings? 3) If it does not, do I need to hard reset the phone to use it? (to try to get pathaway to work with the intermediate drivers) 4) If I hard reset the phone (wheel up and power up?), it is CERTAIN that the phone will remain network unlocked? Thank you for any info.
Guest hagie92 Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 try google maps! and if you dont get a GPS fix, then start GPStest, let that get a fix, then start google maps. This should really help you, expecially if you can view the hybrid mode, showing roads and terrain. i hope it helps, hagie92
